LLamasoft to Host SummerCon 2016 in New Orleans
Sixth annual supply chain design conference to draw supply chain leaders from around the globe
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (December 1, 2015). LLamasoft, the global leader in supply chain design software solutions, will host its sixth annual supply chain design conference, SummerCon 2016, June 13-17 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. The five-day event starts with two days of pre-conference training, followed by two and a half days of keynote presentations, customer case study sessions, best practice roundtable discussions and new technology demonstrations.
Last year’s conference drew attendees from 32 states and 22 countries, representing nearly every industry. SummerCon 2016 is poised to break previously set attendance records of 500 supply chain and logistics professionals.
The conference will also offer four keynote speakers including LLamasoft President and CEO Don Hicks; Partner at IDEO, Tom Kelley; Former World Champion Chess Player Gary Kasparov and music legend and innovation authority, Jeffrey Baxter.
“SummerCon has become the destination event for supply chain leaders and thinkers,” said Hicks. “There simply isn’t another event like this one, where the focus is truly on supply chain design. Every supply chain has its limitations built into the fabric of its design, and to see those problems—and brainstorm solutions—you have to get out of the box and look at the supply chain from a different perspective. You could say SummerCon is “designed” to shake you out of the ordinary way of doing business. Feedback from attendees year after year confirms just how unique this experience is. You can’t miss this opportunity.”
The conference offers dozens of case study presentations from global supply chain leaders including Fortune 500 companies and unparalleled networking opportunities such as the Supply Chain Design Expo Hall, featuring leading supply chain vendors and technologies. This year’s breakout sessions will provide content relevant to attendees from all levels of an organization, from daily user and manager to VP levels and above.
“SummerCon was an excellent way to make connections with other like-minded companies, and the customer-led break-out sessions provided great ideas for how to use modeling to solve supply chain problems. I’d highly recommend the event,” said Bob Benson, Sr. Manager, Logistics Optimization and Analysis, Tyson Foods.
