LLamasoft Hosts Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy’ at Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum

June 25, 2014

After Delivering Keynote Address at SummerCon Supply Chain Design Conference

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (June 25, 2014). LLamasoft, the global leader in supply chain design technology, hosted Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy’ at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum Wednesday afternoon. Nye was in the Ann Arbor area after delivering a keynote address at LLamasoft’s SummerCon supply chain design conference.

Nye conducted several experiments for a crowd of about 150 attendees, including the “Liquid Nitrogen Demo”, the “Smoke Ring Demo” and the “Faraday Coils Demo”. While a private event, the appearance was open to those attending the museum that day. Bill Nye is a well-known scientist and entertainer, having hosted his own show, “Bill Nye the Science Guy” for many years and recently appeared on “Dancing with the Stars”.

LLamasoft is a part of the community here in Ann Arbor.  We’re thrilled to have a chance to promote science and engineering to the kids who will someday be designing our future.  Bill Nye’s message is as important for adults as it is for kids, and we’re excited that we’ve been able to bring his insight and energy to our customers–and to share it with our neighbors in the community.

The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum has been welcoming guests and entertaining visitors since 1982. LLamasoft’s SummerCon is in its fourth year, this year hosting over 500 attendees.
