April 16, 2018

Experienced Industry Executive Joins Supply Chain Design Leader to Accelerate Product Innovation, Customer Success and Company Growth

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (April 16, 2018) – LLamasoft, a global leader in supply chain design solutions, today announced that longtime supply chain industry executive Razat Gaurav has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Member of the Board of Directors. Razat is a highly respected industry veteran whose experience includes leadership positions at JDA Software, i2 Technologies and Ernst & Young (EY). Razat succeeds founder and current CEO Don Hicks, who will continue as the Chairman of the Board.

“LLamasoft is one of the fastest growing supply chain software companies in the industry today – and I believe it’s poised for an incredibly successful future,” said Razat Gaurav, CEO of LLamasoft. “The company already has a highly differentiated mix of optimization, simulation and machine learning capabilities – as well as an emerging, game-changing platform that will revolutionize supply chain decision making. It is exciting to be part of a high growth company with a culture rooted in product innovation and customer success.”

LLamasoft’s intelligent supply chain design tools and innovative decisioning platform help manufacturers, retailers and logistics service providers across the globe model, optimize and simulate their operations using a digital twin of their supply chain. The company’s software enables the world’s largest and most complex businesses to rapidly identify opportunities for operational improvement, while significantly enhancing agility and velocity of decision making. Major improvements in operating cost, working capital, service levels, sustainability and risk mitigation are commonly reported by customers working with LLamasoft.

LLamasoft works with customers such as Cardinal Health, Ford, GM, IKEA, Land O’Lakes, Michael Kors, Schneider Electric and Unilever – and twenty-three of the twenty-five companies listed in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 for 2017 utilized LLamasoft software.

“Traditional enterprise systems are rigid and simply not designed for today’s rapidly changing business landscape. This means a majority of today’s supply chains are ill-prepared for digital transformation,” added Gaurav. “LLamasoft is uniquely positioned to rapidly enable this transformation and provide ongoing agility with the most advanced sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, retail design and decisioning capabilities found in a single solution.”

As part of today’s news, co-founder Toby Brzoznowski will also continue as an active member of the LLamasoft executive team in the role of Chief Strategy Officer.
