Vaccines are Having a “Moment”
If vaccines could have a “moment” this might be it. Researchers worldwide are hard at work hoping to quickly create a vaccine for a new enemy, the novel coronavirus. The research and science behind a vaccine are difficult, time-consuming and require focus to continually innovate and stay ahead of a constantly changing foe. The complexity of the supply chain to support the manufacturing and distribution is no less daunting to ensure the vaccine is delivered safely, undamaged, in the region that needs it, when it’s needed.
Scroll through our infographic to explore the steps along the way: it requires critical hand offs from hard science to manufacturing, data science, AI and cloud computing to pull it all together through to delivery.
